Trademark Data Coverage

What Indian trademark data Legal Lumo indexes, how updates should be understood, and what users should verify independently.

Legal Lumo indexes Indian trademark data made available through official and licensed sources for search, watch, and portfolio workflows. Coverage varies by record type and publication cycle. Legal Lumo is not the official Trade Marks Registry and does not claim complete or real-time coverage of every record.

Coverage by data type

How each category is used in the product and how updates should be read.

Data type What it contains How Legal Lumo uses it Limitations / notes
Applications & status Application records and published status fields Search, portfolio visibility, status watch Ongoing ingestion as sources publish changes—not a guarantee of instant updates
Trade Marks Journal Journal-oriented publications relevant to watch workflows Journal watch alerts for monitored marks Aligned with official journal release cycles
Documents Examination and related documents where available Matter context and drafting support Availability depends on source publication
Visual / device marks Indexed device-mark imagery and classifications Logo and visual similarity search Depends on source imagery availability

What “updated” means

“Updated” means Legal Lumo has ingested changes as they become available from upstream sources. Journal-oriented monitoring follows official journal release cycles. Status and document fields refresh as those sources publish. This is not the same as claiming uninterrupted real-time registry replication.

Integrity & limitations

Normalization improves consistency when source fields are incomplete or irregular. No third-party index replaces the official registry. Users should verify critical dates, statuses, and citations on government sources before filing or enforcement decisions.
